Community-Based Art Clubs & Projects
After-school clubs and workshops for youth of all ages, fostering creativity, skill-building, and meaningful artistic engagement
We Art One partners with public schools, charter schools, and community-based education sites to deliver ongoing art clubs and artist residencies that expand access to high-quality arts education. Programs are designed collaboratively with school staff to align with student needs, school culture, and learning goals, and can take place during the school day or after school. Our approach centers consistency, relationship-building, and culturally responsive instruction.
Teaching artists guide students through hands-on projects that develop foundational skills in drawing, painting, design, and mixed media while encouraging creative risk-taking and self-expression. Lessons are scaffolded to support skill development, creative problem-solving, and collaboration, with space for students to explore personal interests and identities through their work.
Over the past three years, We Art One has engaged over 125 youth across seven programs and workshop series, many delivered in school-based settings. Focusing on projects such as collaborative mural painting, 3D sculpture, collage and more, these residencies help fill critical gaps in arts education while fostering confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging—especially for students with limited access to creative opportunities.
