About We Art One
What began as a small studio at YoHo—known for jam sessions and paint-and-sips—has grown into We Art One Artist Collective, Inc. an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit now rooted on two floors of a repurposed school building at 229 North Broadway in Yonkers, NY.
At We Art One, creative wellness is central to everything we do. When you step inside, you enter a living, breathing space where creativity, community, and care intersect. Our spaces and programs are designed to give artists and community members the freedom to explore ideas, express themselves, and feel supported in the process. Through affordable private and shared studios, mentorship, residencies, and workshops, artists have room to experiment and grow. Beyond our walls, we bring hands-on art experiences into schools, community spaces, and senior centers—building confidence, skills, and meaningful connection along the way.
Our collective is home to a dynamic group of muralists, painters, photographers, multimedia artists, wearable designers, and craft makers. Together, they explore identity, culture, and community through colorful murals, intimate portraits, immersive installations, photography, handmade objects, and wearable art—transforming our shared space into an ever-evolving showcase of creative expression.
Here, art is more than something to look at—it’s something to feel. We believe creativity is essential to personal growth, collective wellness, and genuine connection. At We Art One, everyone is welcome, and every voice has a place in shaping our community.
Art is our one true global language. It knows no nation, it favors no race, and it acknowledges no class. It speaks to our need to reveal, heal, and transform. It transcends our ordinary lives and lets us imagine what is possible.

Our Mission
We Art One Artist Collective, Inc. is dedicated to expanding access to the healing power of art as an essential force for personal growth, social healing, and collective well-being. Through free and affordable programs, we provide artists, youth, and community members with resources to create, learn, and thrive—offering studio spaces, residencies, mentorship, professional development, and skill-building opportunities. By fostering collaboration across disciplines and producing community-driven events, exhibitions, and educational programs, we champion creative equity and build strong, connected, and empowered communities. More than an arts organization, We Art One is a movement to ensure that art is not only seen but deeply felt and accessible to all.
Spanning a range of disciplines, our collective is a mix of long-term Studio Residents and teaching artists who help fulfill our mission. These artists shape the culture of We Art One through shared knowledge, participation in programs and events, and a commitment to ethical, sustainable artistic practice
