Material Girl Summer

Using recycled fabrics, trims, beads and assorted materials, we will embark on creating one-of-a-kind wearable art pieces. Projects will include creating flower pieces, hats out of everyday materials, remixing clothing and accessories using mostly upcycled and recycled materials - supporting sustainability. Participants will be greatly encouraged to explore their imagination as we discover together and learn new skills. We will be painting, cutting, gluing, knotting and lightly sewing, as we explore many techniques to creating unique pieces. Through this workshop series, We Art One will provide a safe and empowering space for girls that promotes individual expression, community building and the nourishment of their creative spirit with the goal of helping our planet - together.

This program is for girls ages 14-18.
